Let the price of chair = x

the price of a table is rupees 100 less than 6 times the price of a chair

=> price of a table = 6x - 100

A similar set of one table and 4 chairs is priced at rupees 1400

=> (6x - 100) + 4x = 1400

=> 6x + 4x - 100 = 1400

=> 10x = 1400 + 100 = 1500

=> x = 1500/10

=> x = 150

Hence, price of one chair is ₹150.

Hi dear !!!

here is your answer !!!

price of table given

100 less than 6 times the price of chair .

let the price of common ratio chair and table be x

so ,

table price => 6x -100 -------------- eq (1)

now

1 table and 4 chair price be 1400

so ,

1 table price from equation (1)

=> 6x -100 + 4x = 1400

x = 150 rupees

hence,
price of one chair is 150 rupees .

hope it help you dear !!!
