It is given that the price of the watch is decreased by 20%
so, 20% of x = 20x/100
the decreased price will be = x - 20x/100
= x - x/5
= 4x/5
And, the decreased price is £640.
Therefore, 4x/5 = 64
x = (640 × 5) / 4
x = 800
Hence, the original Price of the washing machine is £800.
