let the price oc the article be x
x+10x/100=9350
x=8500
tax paid for 10%=8500×10/100=Rs850
for 3%
tax paid =Rs255
the customer has to pay (850-255)=Rs595 less tax me think so

Let the sales price of an article = x.

Given that The price of an article inclusive of tax = 9350.

Rate of  tax = 10%.

ACQ,

x + 10% of x = 9350

x + x/10 = 9350

11x/10 = 9350

11x = 93500

x = 93500/11

x = 8500.

Given that the New rate of tax = (10 - 3) = 7%.

Total price = 8500 + 7% of 8500

                   = 8500 + 7/100 * 8500

                   = 8500 + 595

                   = 9095.

Therefore the less amount customer has to pay the tax = 9350 - 9095

                                                                                              = 255 rupees.

Hope this helps!
