Concept Introduction:

To keep track of expenditure saves money and also makes us deal with money crisis in near future.

Given:

Price of bananas rises from $2 per kg to $4 per Kg.

To Find:

We have to find the value of, reduced percentage of  consumption of bananas.

Solution:

According to the problem,

Let Ethan buys x kg of banana, now since price of banana is getting double so to keep the expenditure constant Ethan have to buy half of x.

Therefore percentage will be 50% of the banana Ethan use to buy. Hence he will reduce consumption of banana by 50%.

Final Answer:

The value of reduced percentage of consumption is by 50%.
