price of computer = rs. 18000

sales tax = 12%

tax = price × percent of tax÷100

18000 ×12÷100=2160 rs.

so total amount a customer has to pay is = 18000 + 2160 = 20160 rs.

Answer:

The amount which the customer pays is 20160

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The price of computer is 18000

Also given that the sales tax charged on the computer is 12%.

Therefore, the amount paid as sales tax is given by the relation

 \frac{12}{100}  \times original \: price

Substituting given price we get the sales tax as

 \frac{12}{100}  \times 18000 = 2160rs

As the sales tax amount is known. The total amount can be found as

total \: price = price + sales \: tax

Substituting the known values,we get

total \: price = 18000 + 2160  \\  = 20160rs

Therefore,The amount which the customer pays is 20160₹
