Question,

The price of onions increased by 30%.Next month the price decreased by 30%.what is the net increase or decrease percent in the price of the onions.

To find

•The decrease percent in the price of the onion.

  \boxed{\gray{ \tt  \huge{ solution} }}

Let the price of onion be 100rs

30% increased by 30% = 30/100

= 30% = 30rs

The price of onion = 100rs

100rs + 30rs

= 130rs

30% = 130

= 30/100×130 = 3×13 = 39rs

Decrease of 30% of the onion price

= 30% = 30rs

The price of onion 100rs

= 100+30

= 130rs

= 130-39

= 91

The price of onion = 100 rs

= 100-91

= 9% net decrease.
