Let man buy x oranges in 208 rupees.
So price of a orange is 208/x rupees.
Now the price increases to: (208/x)+ (30/100)*(208/x)
=270.4/x
Now the person can buy (x-12) oranges in 208 rupees.
So,
208/(x-12) = 270.4/x
=> x = 1.3(x-12)
=> 1.3x-x = 12
=> x = 12/0.3
=> x = 40 oranges
So price of a orange is 208/x rupees.
Now the price increases to: (208/x)+ (30/100)*(208/x)
=270.4/x
Now the person can buy (x-12) oranges in 208 rupees.
So,
208/(x-12) = 270.4/x
=> x = 1.3(x-12)
=> 1.3x-x = 12
=> x = 12/0.3
=> x = 40 oranges
