Therefore price now 90% = 9/10

This means that,

Orginal price is 10 and new price is 9

And we know that quantity is inversely proportional to price,

i.e. quantity purchased by person is 9 at 10 rs and after reduction quantity purchase by person is 10 at 1 rs

Increment in quantity is 9 which us equal to 3 kg

Initially person was purchasing 3×9=27kg rice
