The price of sugar has decreased by 20%. The
consumption also decreased by 4%. Find out by what
per cent the overall expense on sugar has reduced?​

Suppose 1000 grams of sugar = 100 ₹ i.e 10 grams for 1 ₹

After price increase,

1000 grams = 115 ₹ i.e 8.7 grams per 1 ₹

Or 870 grams for 100 ₹ ( 8.7 * 100)

Thus rani should decrease sugar intake by (130/1000) * 100 = 13%
