The price of sugar is first increased by 20% and later decreased by 20%. Find the total change in per cent in sugar price.​

price of sugar after decreasing it by 20% = 6x/5 - 6x/5*20/100 = 6x/5-6x/25

Therefore total change percent in sugar price

= change in value/changed value * 100%

= (x-24x/25)/(24x/25 ) *100% = (x/25)/(24x/25) * 100%

= x/25 * 25/24x * 100% = 25/6 = 4 1/6 %
