The price of a table will be x + 20

Total bought:

2 tables + 3 chairs = 2(x + 20) + 3x = 2x + 40 + 3x = 5x + 40

Solve x:

Total price is 340

5x + 40 = 340

5 x= 300

x = 60

Find cost of table and chair:

Chair = x = 60

Table = x + 20 = 60 + 20 = 80

Answer: A table cost Rs 80 and a chair cost Rs 60
