Given:

Cost Price of

  • a Ball = Rs. 318.75
  • a bat = Rs. 3213.25

Selling price of

  • a ball = Rs. 325
  • a Bat = Rs. 5200.25

To find:

  • The profit or Loss made by selling 42 balls and 5 bats.

 \\

Solution:

C.P of a Ball = Rs. 318.75

  • C.P of 42 balls = Rs. 318.75 x 42 = Rs.13,387.5

C.P of a bat = Rs. 3213.25

  • C.P of 5 bats = Rs. 3213.25 x 5 = Rs.16,067.5

Total C.P of 42 balls and 5 bats = Rs.13387.5 + Rs. 16067.5 = Rs. 29,455

S.P of a Ball = Rs. 325

  • S.P of 42 balls = Rs. 325 x 42 = Rs. 13,650

S.P of a Bat = Rs. 5200.25

  • S.P of 5 bats = Rs. 5200.25 x 5 = Rs. 26,001.25

Total S.P of 42 balls and 5 bats = Rs. 13,650 + Rs. 26,001.25 = Rs. 39,651.25

Here, S.P > C.P

When, S.P > C.P, there is Profit

So, Here is Profit

To find Profit,

Profit = S.P - C.P

=> Rs. 39,651.25 - 29,455

=> \rm \bf \red{Rs. 10,196.25}

Hence, there is a Profit of Rs. 10,196.25 in selling 42 balls and 5 bats at the mentioned C.P and S.P.
