The Prime Minister will arrive here next week.

Why only [will] ?

  • Arriving next week gives us a sense of future and will promotes future tense. That's why only will has been used.
  • Many other forms of the same sentence like :
  1. Will be arriving
  2. Will have arrived

can also be used as they are in future form too.

Future tense :

  • Expected to occur in future
  • 4 types :
  1. Simple future : will/shall + verb
  2. Future Continuous : will/shall + be + verb + ing
  3. Future perfect : will/shall + have + Past participle
  4. Future Perfect continuous : will/shall + have + been + past participle
