Let the equal sides of isosceles traingle be x and unequal side be b.
Then perimeter of isosceles traingle=x+x+b
=2x+b
Now,x=17/6( given) and perimeter=43/4 (given)
putting these values in the equation we get
2 x 17/6+b=43/4
or,17/3+b=43/4
or,b=43/4-17/3
b=61/12 ans

Howdy!!

your answer is ----

Let, ∆ ABC IS A ISOSCELES TRIANGLE

and THIRD SIDE BE C

Given, of of its opposite side is 17/6 cm

so, A= B = 17/6 cm

since , its perimeter is 43/4 cm

therefore , A+B+C = 43/4

= > 17/6+17/6+C = 43/4

= > 34/6 + C = 43/4

= > C = 43/4 - 34/6

= > C = 61/12 cm

hence , its third side is 61/12 cm

hope it help you
