Let the equal sides of isosceles traingle be x and unequal side be b.
Then perimeter of isosceles traingle=x+x+b
=2x+b
Now,x=17/6( given) and perimeter=43/4 (given)
putting these values in the equation we get
2 x 17/6+b=43/4
or,17/3+b=43/4
or,b=43/4-17/3
b=61/12 ans
