hi there!
Here's the answer:

Let the positions be

_ _ _ _ _

No of ways that Arushi occupies second position = 2C1 = 2
(Position from left and from right)

_ (ARUSHI) _ _ _

Now there are 4 positions left

Out of these 3 positions
When Anubhav 2nd position, Abhishek occupies a place adjacent to him in 2 different ways

When anubhav occupies first place, then Abhishek occupies in 1 way

When anubhav occupies third place, then Abhishek occupies in 1 way

•°• No. of ways Anubhav can occupy a place adjacent to Abhishek is always adjacent to him = 2 + 1 + 1 = 4

The remaining Students occupy a place on remaining two positions in 2 different ways

Hence total Possible ways of Arrangements = 2 × 4 × 2 = 16
