The principle of voting in the estates general was an democratic due to following reasons:
- Until the French revolution the legislative body of france was the estate general.
- The voting should be conducted by the whole assembly and each member should have the fair chance to vote.
- But in estate general the system of voting works on the principle that only one person could vote as the supreme on the behalf of estate.
- So, In this way estate general was undemocratic as each estate has one vote.
