5. The principles of panchsheel were officially put forth by pandit Jaharlal Neheru in 1954.

It was signed on 29th April, 1954 in Beijing by N. RAGHAVAN and CHANG HAN-FU, the Chinese deputy foreign minister.

It is also called panchsheel agreement. But the Chinese would later discover the use that they could make of five principles according to the given norms.

It took less than two months for India to discoverafter a while that all problems had not been settled.
