The printed price of an article is 60000.The wholesaler allows a discount of 20%to the shopkeeper.The shopkeeper sells the article to the customer at the printed price .Vat charged is 6% at every stage.Find the total cost paid by the consumer

printed price = Rs 60000
discount =20%
             = 60000-60000*20/100
             =60000-12000
             =Rs48000

therefore the C.P of shopkeeper = Rs 48000

the S.P of the shopkeeper = Rs 60000

the profit made by the shopkeeper = 60000-48000
                                                            = Rs12000

V.A.T charged by shopkeeper = 12000*6/100
                                                    = Rs 720

Price paid by the customer inclusive of all tax =
                                                                               =60000+60000*6/100
                                                                               =60000+3600
                                                                               =Rs 63600
