Answer:

Probability of Red card = 1/2

Probability of King card = 1/13

Step-by-step explanation:

Total cards = 52

Red cards = 26

Probability of red cards = 26/52 = 1/2

King cards = 4

Probability of king cards = 4/52 = 1/13

I hope this will help you.

Given:

Total cards = 52

No. of  red cards  = 26

No. of  kings  = 4

We have

P(red card or king ) = p(red)+ p(king) -p(red and king)

=\frac{26}{52}+\frac{4}{52}-\frac{2}{52}

=\frac{26+4}{52}-\frac{2}{52}

=\frac{30}{52}-\frac{2}{52}

=\frac{30-2}{52}

=\frac{28}{52}

=\frac{14}{26}

=\frac{7}{13}

Hence the the probability of drawing a red card or a king from a standard Deck of well shuffled 52 cards is 7/13
