Prime numbers could be termed as the numbers which don't get divided by any other number except themselves.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number that can occur is 1,2,3,4,5

possible outcome for the dice is 6

As prime number can only get divided by itself therefore the only numbers are 2,3,5

Total prime numbers = 3

Chances for getting prime numbers are = total prime numbers/ possible outcomes

     = 3/6

      =1/2
