Question : The probability of getting an even number on a single throw of a die is ___?

Answer :-

We know that the sample space of a dice is {1,2,3,4,5,6}

There are 6 possibilities.

For even numbers there are only 3 even numbers namely 2,4 and 6 which are printed on the surface of the dice.

Hence the probability is 3/6 = 1/2
