probability of occuring an event (correct answer) = x/3
probability of not occuring an event (incorrect answers)= 5x/3
as we know that sum of all probability is 1
so
x/3 + 5x/3=1
6x/3=1
6x=3
x=3/6
x=1/2
x=0.5

Solution:-

Probability of guessing the correct answer = x/3
Probability of not guessing the correct answer = 5x/3
Therefore,
x/3 + 5x/3 = 1
6x/3 = 1
6x = 3
x = 3/6
x = 1/2
The correct value of x is 1/2 or 0.5
