We are given that 900 apples are there .

We know , P( getting a rotten apple) = No. of rotten apples/ Total no. of apples

P= 0.18

therefore
0.18 = total \: no \: o f \: rotten \: apples \div 900
0.18 \times 900 = total \: no. \: of \: rotten \: apples
total \: no \: of \: rotten \: apples \: = 162

Answer:

we haves a heap of 900 apples

Step-by-step explanation:

probability(getting rotten apple )=no of rotten apples/total no of apples

we know that p=0.18

then ,0.18=x/900

x=0.18x900=162

therefore,the no of rotten apple is 162
