0.18 probability means there are 18 apples rotten in 100 apples.
which means there are 18×9 apples rotten in 900 apples.
therefore 162 apples are rotten in all.

magdykhalil1967: Let the no. of rotten apples be x

P (rotten apples) = 0.18 = x/900

x = 900 x 0.18

x = 162

The number of rotten apples in the heap is 162.

Hope it helps! :)

Probability=0.18

Now total no of apple= 900

Now we know that

Prob= selected randomly/total no
0.18= rotten apple/900

Ie rotten ape = 900×0.18
=162 Ans....
