Given:-

Total number of outcomes when a dice is thrown = 6 i.e(1,2,3,4,5&6)

Now:-

We can easily count the numbers whichare greater than 2 = (3,4,5,6)

So there are total of 4 numbers which are greater than 2.

Now:-

Probability of a number greater than 2 when a dice is thrown

= > Number of outcomes greater than 2/Total number of outcomes

=> 4/6

=> 2/3

Therefore:-

P(getting a number greater than 2) = 2/3
