Step-by-step explanation:

probability to get a job in army = 1/2

probability of not getting a job in navy = 2/5

so, the probability of getting job in navy= 1-2/5

=3/5

probability of getting a job= 3/4

but probability of not getting a job= 1-3/4 =1/4

thus the probability of getting both jobs= 1/2+3/5-1/4

=10+12-5/20

= 17/20

other possible answer=85%
