SOLUTION :

Given: Probability that it will rain P(E) = 0.85 .

The sum of all the probabilities of all possible outcomes of experiment is 1.

P(Event) + P (not an Event) = 1.

P(E) + P(not an Event) = 1

0.85 + P(not an Event) = 1

P(not an Event) = 1 – 0.85

P(not an Event) = 0.15

Hence, the probability that it will not rain is = 0.15

★★The probability of happening of an event always lies 0 to 1 and in percentage it lies 0 % to 100 % .

★★ Probability of an event can never be negative.
