1, 3 and 5 are prime numbers. The probability of a die coming up a prime numbers is equal to the number of prime numbers (Nprime = 3) divided by the total number of possible results (Ntotal = 6). Thus, p(prime number when tossing one die) = 3/6 = 0.5.
