Over population is a malaise that all countries of this world must try to cure. India is far too overpopulated and this adversely affects our daily lives.
Due to a high demand for perishables, the prices of vegetables, fruits, meat and fish never seems to go down. Buses and trains are always overcrowded during peak office hours, so commuting becomes worse than nightmares at times. Sometimes admission into Government hospitals becomes a difficult proposition even in an emergency. Proper attention is not paid by teachers to the weaker students in class, as most sections in school seem to be bursting at the seams to accommodate children. Everywhere one has to stand in queues to get their work done, especially at Government facilities. If one is a little late in deciding, obtaining a ticket or two for the magic show, football or cricket match, a movie and so on may become extremely difficult.
Overpopulation plays havoc with the environment too. Too many cars polluting our cities is a natural consequence of our crowded cities. Getting admission into schools or colleges of a person's desire, especially in metropolitan cities in India, is generally unthinkable.
Overpopulation also carries with it a host of other problems, among which environmental degradation is an important one for high-density areas of the country.
