The process by which can transfer heat through the vacuum as well as air is radiation.

Option: (b)

Explanation:

  • Heat transfer can take place in form of conduction ‘Convection and radiation’. Conduction and convection requires a material medium to pass heat through it.
  • As a result conduction and convection can never take place in vacuum. Radiation takes place due to long wavelength heat rays which can even pass through vacuum.
  • Hence radiation is the only form of ‘heat transfer’ which can pass through vacuum as well as through a substance like air.
