The process in which a GAS directly changes into SOLID is called _

IndiaLovesIran: SOLIDIFICATION, I guess...
IndiaLovesIran: Sublimation is from SOLID TO GAS. The question is, GAS TO SOLID. The direct opposite!

  • The process of sublimation requires additional energy and is therefore an endothermic change. The enthalpy of sublimation (also called heat of sublimation) can be calculated as the sum of the enthalpy of fusion and the enthalpy of vaporization. The reverse process of sublimation is deposition (i.e., gas to solid).

IndiaLovesIran: How can it be Sublimation?!?! It's NOT solid to gas. It's gas to solid!
IndiaLovesIran: Gas to Solid is not Sublimation! Sublimation is Solid to Gas. What you told is the direct opposite!
IndiaLovesIran: Oh, sorry sorry! I confused between Deposition and Solidification! I apologise.
