the nutrition in amoeba is holozoic.Thus solid food particles are ingested which are then acted upon by enzymes and digested. It is an omnivore feeding on both plants and animals ........since it is a unicellular organism and hence amoeba doesn't have any specialize structure or organ for the process of nutrition.

In amoeba holozoic nutrition take place...IT is divided into 5 steps :--
1. INGESTION :- In this step amoeba obtained its food with the help of pseudopodia.
2.DIGESTION :- In amoeba digestion take place in food vacuole with the help of digestive enzymes .
3.:- ABSORPTION :- In this step digested food from food vacuole diffuse into cytoplasm.
4.ASSIMILATION :-Absorbed food are utilised for energy.
5.EGESTION :- In this step the undigested food are removed from the body.
