The product obtained as a result of a reaction of nitrogen  with CaC₂ is

(a) Ca(CN)₂

When calcium carbide (CaC₂) reacts with Nitrogen gas, it forms a mixture of calcium cyanamiide (CaCN₂) and deposition of Carbon mass.

So, the product formed is Ca(CN)₂.

The reaction is shown below.

CaC₂+ N₂ → CaCN₂ + C

The option (a) is correct.
