The product of a fraction and the sum of 11/4 & 7/2 is 5. find the fraction.

Let the number or fraction be x. 

Sum of 11/4 and 7/2 = 11/4 + 7/2 = 25/4 

Product of the number and sum of 11/4 and 7/2 = 5 

x * 25/4 = 5 

x = 5*4/25 = 4/5 

Therefore the number or fraction is 4/5 .

C /5= F-32/9

If the given temperature is C in Celsius scale and F is its equivalent in Fahrenheit scale. then the relationship among them is :- 

9C/5 + 32 = F. 

Given, 
Temperature in Celsius scale ( C) = 96°C. 

Now, Temperature in Fahrenheit scale ( F) = 9(96)/5 + 32 = 172.8+ 32 = 204.8°F

Let the three consecutive multiples of 3 are 3x , 3x+3 , 3x+6 .

3x + 3x + 3 + 3x + 6 = 72 

9x + 9 = 72 

9x = 63 

x = 63/9 = 7 .

3x = 21 
3x+3 = 24 
3x+6 = 27 

Therefore, the three consecutive multiples of 3 are 21 , 24 , 27 .The second largest number is 24 .

7/y-12=3/y+4

=> 3(y-12)=7(y+4).

=> 3y-36=7y+28

=> -36-28=7y-3y

=> -64=4y

=> y= -64/4

=> y = -16

Simple interest = P× T× R /100


=5000*146*9/100*365

=180Rs .

Given first term = √2 .
Common difference = 3√2 - √2 = 2√2 .

The 12 term of the A. P = √2 + 11(2√2) =√2+22√2 = 23√2

Here,
Sum of 11/4 and 7/2 
= 11/4 + 7/2 
= 25/4 

Now,
ATQ,
Product of the number and sum of 11/4 and 7/2 = 5 
x * 25/4 = 5 
x = 5*4/25 
x = 4/5 

hence, the no. is 4/5.

(ii)==========================================

Given,
Temp. = 96° C
We know,
\frac{C}{5} = \frac{F-32}{9}
\frac{96}{5} = \frac{F-32}{9}
F = 172.8 + 32
F = 204.8°F

(iii)=================================
Let the three consecutive multiples of 3 as 3x , 3x+3 , 3x+6 respectively.
ATQ,
3x + 3x + 3 + 3x + 6 = 72 
9x + 9 = 72 
9x = 63 
x = 63/9 
x = 7 .
Now,
1st. no = 3x = 21 
2nd no. = 3x+3 = 24 
3rd.  no . = 3x+6 = 27 

hence the second largest no. is 24.

⇒ 3(y-12)=7(y+4).
⇒ 3y-36=7y+28
⇒ -36-28=7y-3y

We know,
Simple interest = P * T * R /100

                 = 2√2 
Then,
The 12 term of the A.P = √2 + 11(2√2) 
                                     =√2+22√2
