Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Set of whole numbers = { 0, 1, 2, 3 , 4 ,

5 , ......}

Non - zero whole numbers are 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 ,6 , .....

Now take some example which follow the above given rule :

i ) whole number = 5

Its successor =6

Product = 5 × 6 = 30 (even number)

2) whole number = 20

Its successor = 21

Their product = 20 × 21 = 410 (even number )

We can conclude that product of any non zero whole number and its successor is always even number.

Option A is correct.

Or

Tip :

____

In product of two numbers one

number is even .

Therefore as we know that product of

one number and any non zero whole

number is always even.

Answer:

an even no.

Step-by-step explanation:

let a no. is x

its succesor will be (x + 1)

their product is x × ( x+1)

= x^2 + x

now if x is odd then x^2 ( because square of odd no. is always odd ) will be odd and sum of x^2 + x will ne even ( because sum of two odd no. is always even)

but if x is even then x^2 ( because square of odd no. is always odd ) will also be even and x^2 + x is even ( because sum of two even no. is always even).

Hence product of a whole no. and its succesor is alway an even no.
