Answer:

Let x= ones digit and y=tens digit

According to the question ,

∴ x+ 10y= 6(x+ y)+ 4 ⇒ 10y= 6x+ 6y+ 4− x ⇒ 4y= 5x+ 4

And,from if18is substracted from the number ,the digits are reversed,

∴x+

10y−

18=

y+10x⇒10y−

18=

y+9x⇒9y−

18=

9x

⇒y−

2=

x

Substitute x value into :

4y= 5x+ 4 4y= 5(y− 2)+ 4 4y= 5y− 6 y= 6

Substitute y into :

y−

2=x⇒

6−

2=x⇒

4=

x

∴ The number is 64.

To find : missing number .

Given : product of a number with 18 gives 61

Solution :

  • Let , x be the missing number .
  • As per the given data we know that product of a number with 18 gives 61
  • According to given condition we write as , 18x = 61
  • We take constants at RHS leaving variable at LHS.
  • Simplify the equation using arithmetic operation as required to find the value of x.
  • Then the result will be the solution for the given linear equation. By using the transposition method.
  • 18x = 61

          x =\frac{61}{18}  \\

  • On simplifying we get , x =3.38 .

Hence value of x is \frac{61}{18} or 3.38 .
