When any number is multiplied by 1, the result itself is the same number. So we can say that the product of any number and 1 is the number itself.

Example:

42 \times 1 = 42

39 \times 1 = 39

1 \times 56 = 56

1 \times 63 = 63

1 \times ( - 26) =  - 26

1 \times ( \frac{4}{9})  =  \frac{4}{9}

0 .358 \times 1 = 0.358

1 is the factor of all the real numbers so 1 is also divisible by all of them leaving the quotient equal to the same number.
