Therefore the product of roots = c/a

= 1

By Quadratic formula:

x =  \frac{ - b + ( - ) \sqrt{ {b }^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}

Substitute the values :

 =  \frac{ - 1 \sqrt{ {1}^{2} - 4(1)(1) } }{2(1)}  \\  \\  =   \frac{ - 1 \sqrt{1 - 4} }{2}  \\  \\  =   \frac{ - 1 \sqrt{ - 3} }{2}  \\  =   \frac{ - 1 +  \sqrt{ - 3} }{2}  \:  \:  \\ ᴏʀ \\  =  \frac{ - 1 -  \sqrt{ - 3} }{2}
