Also,

2y = x + 4

x - 2y = -4

240/y - 2y = -4. (using eq(1))

Here, age can't be negative , So

y = 12

xy = 240

12 × x = 240

x = 20

Hence,

Seema age = 20 yrs

Harish age = 12 yrs.
