Let the ratio be 6x and 5x

Their product = 750

6x × 5x = 750

30x² = 750

x² = 750/30

x² = 25

x = √25

x = 5

Hence, Present age of father = 6x => 6(5) = 30 years

Present age of son = 5(5) =25 years

.

Difference in their ages = 30 - 25 => 5 years

Answer:

Concept: solving the question by assuming the age as some any function.

Given: product of the age is 750yrs and the ratio of the age is 6:5

To find: difference of their age.

Step-by-step explanation:

let the age of be x.

hence,  as per the given ratio the age of the father and son is 6x and 5x.

so, if the product of their age is 750yrs, then we can say that

6x*5x=750

so,30x^{2} =750

so, x^{2} =25

so, we will  get x=5

so, putting the value of x in the above ratio, will get the age

so,  age of the father is 6*5=30yrs and age of the son is 5*5=25yrs

now, the difference of their age is 30-25=5yrs
