Answer:

QUADRATIC EQUATION

LET THE FIRST NO. BE X

SECOND NO. BE X + 2

X ( X + 2 ) = 128

X SQUARE + 2X = 128

X TO THE POWER 2 + 2X = 128

THIS WILL BE YOUR QUADRATIC EQUATION

let \: the \: first \: consecutive \: number \:  = x \\ and \: second \: consecutive \: number \:  = x + 1 \\ then \: the \: product \: of \: two \: consecutive \: number = x(x + 1) \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = x^{2}  + x \\ A.T.Q \\ x^{2}  + 1 = 128 \\ x ^{2}  + x - 128 = 0 \\

so, the quadratic equation of this question is :-

x^{2}  + x - 128 = 0
