Let the two consecutive multiples of 4 be

  • 4x
  • 4x + 4

4x(4x + 4) = 192 \\  \\ 16 {x}^{2} + 16x = 192 \\  \\ .......dividing \: both \:  sides \: by \: 16. \\  \\  {x}^{2}  + x = 12 \\  \\  {x}^{2}  + x - 12 = 0 \\  \\  {x}^{2}  + 4x - 3x - 12 = 0 \\  \\ x(x + 4) - 3(x + 4) = 0 \\  \\ (x - 3)(x +4 ) = 0 \\  \\ \sf\large\green{\underline { x = 3............x =  - 4}}

1) Numbers are ,

  • 4x = 4(3) = 12
  • 4x + 4 = 4(3) + 4 = 16

\sf\large\red{ or}

2) Numbers are

  • 4x = 4(-4) = -16
  • 4x + 4= 4(-3) +4 = -12
