The Product of two consecutive odd natural numbers is 143. find those numbers​

Answer:

Let 1st consecutive odd no be x

and 2nd consecutive odd no be x+2

product of these no. = 143

x(x+2)=143

x²+2x=143

x²+2x-143=0

x²+13x-11x-143=0

x(x+13)-11(x+13)=0

(x+13)(x-11)=0

if x+13=0

x=-13( not possible)

and if x-11=0

then x=11

so, 1st no. is x= 11

and 2nd no. is x+2=11+2=13

hence 11 and 13 are those number
