Let the 1 consecutive no. be x
2nd consecutive no. =x+2
(as they are positive
consecutive nos.)
Their sum =210
So, - x+x+2=210
2x+2=210
2x=208
X=208/2
=104
X=104.
. .&
x+2 =104 +2 =106

Hence,nos. are 104 & 106.

Hope this will help u...

Shatakshi3: how??
Ranjan14082002: Multiply 104×106 and u will never get it as 210....
Shatakshi3: ohhh..... . I thought it is asking their sum..

Let 1st no. be x and 2nd no. be x+1,
(As they are consecutives)
Here, ATQ,
x*x+1=210
x2+x=210
x2+x-210=0
By split term method,
x2+15x-14x-210=0
x(x+15)-14(x+15)=0
(x+15)*(x-14)=0
So,
x=14,or-15
Since,
x=14
So, x+1=15
That is, 1st no. =14
2nd no. =15
