Let the numbers be x & x+1.
According to question :-
x (x+1) = 182
x^2 + x = 182
x^2 +x - 182 = 0
x^2 +14x -13x-182 = 0
x (x+14) -13 (x+14) = 0
(x+14) (x-13) = 0
So , x = -14 or 13

But x is a positive number therefore x = 13.

So the numbers are
x = 13 &
x+1 = 13+1
= 14

Here is your answer :

============================

Given,

product of two numbers = 182

let the numbers be x and x + 1

ATP,

x ( x + 1 ) = 182

 {x}^{2}  + x = 182 \\  \\  {x}^{2}  + x - 182 = 0 \\  \\ after \: splitting \: middile \: term \\  \\  {x}^{2}  - 14x + 13x - 182 = 0 \\  \\ x(x - 14) - 13(x - 14) = 0 \\  \\ x - 14 = 0 \:  \:  \:  \: x  - 13= 0\\  \\ x = 14 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x = 13

Therefore , the numbers are 13 & 14
