Let the numbers be x & x+1.
According to question :-
x (x+1) = 182
x^2 + x = 182
x^2 +x - 182 = 0
x^2 +14x -13x-182 = 0
x (x+14) -13 (x+14) = 0
(x+14) (x-13) = 0
So , x = -14 or 13
But x is a positive number therefore x = 13.
So the numbers are
x = 13 &
x+1 = 13+1
= 14
