Let the first Number be X.
Then the other number will be 3X.
According to question,
3X × X = 18.75
3X² = 18.75
X² = 18.75/3
X² = 6.25
X = ✓6.25 = 2.5
Therefore,
First Number = X = 2.5
And,
Second number = 3X = 3 × 2.5 = 7.5
Clearly second number is greater than the first.
