Given:

  • The product of two numbers = 1694.
  • One of the number is 14 times of the other number.

To find:

The numbers.

Solution:

Let, one of the number be, 'n'.

∴ The other number is = (n×14)

                                     = 14n.

The product of the numbers = 1694.

∴ According to the problem:

(n×14n) = 1694

⇒ 14n² = 1694.

⇒ n² = (1694÷14)

⇒ n² = 121

⇒ n = √(121)

⇒ n = √(11×11)

⇒ n = 11

∴ One of the number is 11.

Hence, the other number _

(14×11)

= 124

So, the numbers are 11 and 124.

Answer:

The numbers are 11 and 124.
