Given :- The product of two numbers is 270. If each of the numbers is doubled and then multiplied what would be their product ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, the given two numbers are x and y .

so,

→ x * y = 270 -------- Eqn.(1)

now, given that, each of the numbers is doubled ,

so,

• First number becomes = 2 * x = 2x .
• Second number becomes = 2 * y = 2y .

then,

→ 2x * 2y

→ 2 * 2 * x * y

→ 4xy

putting value of Eqn.(1),

→ 4 * 270

→ 1080 (Ans.)
