a-b=9……(i)

(a-b)²= (a+b)²-4ab

(9)²=(a+b)²-4×36

81+144=(a+b)²

(a+b)²=225

a+b=15……(ii)

now eqn(i)+eqn(ii)

2a=24

a=12

& b= 3 Ans.
