Given :–

  • The product of two numbers = 425.
  • Highest common factor (H.C.F.) = 17.

To Find :–

  • Least common multiple (L.C.M.)

Solution :–

Let,

The lease common multiple (L.C.M.) be x.

We know that,

H.C.F. × L.C.M. = Product of two numbers

Here,

  • H.C.F. = 17
  • Product of two number = 425.

So,

 \rightarrow17 \times x = 425

 \rightarrow17x = 425

 \rightarrow x =  \cancel{\dfrac{425}{17} }

 \rightarrow x = 25

Hence,

The least common multiple (L.C.M.) is 25.

Verification :–

H.C.F. × L.C.M. = Product of two numbers

  • H.C.F. = 17.
  • L.C.M. = 25.
  • Product of two numbers = 425.

 \rightarrow 17 \times 25 = 425

 \rightarrow425 = 425

Hence Verified !!
